MaryEllen P. Burke

MaryEllen Burke, born on December 3, 1986, in Stony Brook, NY, passed away on May 31, 2024, in Stony Brook, NY, at the age of 37. She was a source of pure innocence and love, bringing joy to everyone around her with her infectious smiles. Despite her physical limitations, MaryEllen was a beacon of hope and love, especially to her Warburg Micro Syndrome family around the world. 

MaryEllen is survived by her loving parents, Lori and Kevin, her older sister, Katie, her younger brothers, Kevin and James, Grandma Marie, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dedicated team of nurses and aides.

May MaryEllen’s spirit of love and innocence continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her presence.
