Michael Anthony Rizzi

Michael Anthony Rizzi, known as “Papa,” age 83, of Nesconset, NY—formerly of The Villages, FL, and Massapequa, NY—passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on June 22, 1943, in Manhattan, NY, to Paul and Irene Rizzi.

Michael will be remembered for his kind and tender nature, as well as his unique personality and sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane; his daughter, Jomarie (Chris); his son, Michael (Jill); his daughter, Jennifer; his grandchildren, Caitlin (Jimmy) Ashleigh (Justin) and Braiden; his great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Jones, Briar, “Baby” Bannon (TBD), and “Baby” Jorgensen (TBD); as well as his brother, Paul.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM at St. James Funeral Home. A church Mass will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:30 AM, with a private cremation to follow.
