It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michele F. Vitale. Beloved husband, father, pop pop, son, and brother, who left us peacefully surrounded by his children on May 17th, 2025.
Michele, also known affectionately as Michael, was born on November 16, 1941, in Marigliano, Italy, to Felicia and Giovanni Vitale.
He was reunited in peace with his beloved wife of 54 years, Daryl, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life. He also joins his dear parents in eternal rest.
Michele was a dedicated, humble, and hardworking father to his four children Alicia (Philip) Giglio, Nichole(Joseph) Rockowitz, Michael (Kelsey) Vitale, and Matthew (Diana) Vitale. They were his greatest pride and joy and he gave them his unwavering love and quiet strength.
He deeply cherished his nine grandchildren; Zachary, Jake, Sophia, Madelyn, Michael, Ava, Matthew, Mason, and Luke. They each brought light, laughter, and endless smiles to his days. Whether sitting quietly beside them, cheering them on, or simply listening, he made each one feel loved beyond measure.
Though a private man, those who knew Michele understood how deeply he loved his family. His actions spoke louder than words, steady, dependable, and full of care. His life was defined by quiet devotion, kindness, and strength.
Michele’s legacy of love, resilience, and selflessness will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
As we celebrate his life, we take comfort in the memories we shared and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. We carry forward the lessons he taught us: to love deeply, to work hard, to stay humble, and to always put family first.
Rest in peace Dad and Pop Pop. Your love will continue to shine in our hearts forever. We will love and miss you always, but we are better for having been loved by you.
