Nancy Y. Alejandro, a kind and gentle soul, was born in Peru on August 23, 1961. She was the oldest of 7 and gained so much wisdom to help raise her siblings. Nancy was a hard worker since she was a teenager to help provide for her family. She always established a friendship with everyone she met, she was trustworthy and kind-hearted. Nancy always wanted to be a mother and felt blessed when she gave birth to her first child, Cesar. Knowing that life in Peru would be hard for them, she embarked to New York alone with her 9 year old son for better opportunities. In New York, she reunited with a family friend, Emilio Alejandro and they wed 1 year later and she gave birth to her second child Emily.
Nancy dedicated all her time to her family; she always put everyone ahead of herself. She loved to cook and had an immense talent. Everyone knew if she was cooking that they would be full and happy. She was a talented seamstress, fixing her whole family's clothes. She always loved to help. Nancy loved all animals, especially Bichon Frise; she had 4 since 2004. The dogs were very attached to Nancy. She loved to garden and provide her family with fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers.
All Nancy wanted was for her children to have better opportunities than she could. She was proud and shed a tear while attending both her children’s graduation from college. Nancy dedicated all her time in making memories with her first grandchild, Isaac. She loved to cook and play with him and Isaac was very attached to Nancy.
Nancy was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She had an intense battle with cancer and was determined with her family to beat this deadly disease. She was surrounded by the people she loved until the end.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Emilio, her son, Cesar, her daughter Emily and grandchild, Isaac.
