Oreste “Ernie” DiRaffaele

Oreste E DiRaffaele - 95 -“Ernie” formally from Bath Ave.Brooklyn, long time resident of Saint James New York passed away February 19, 2020. 
Loving husband to the late Flora C DiRaffaele. Loving Father to Salvatore, Philip, Christopher and fiancé Phyllis Riccobono, Stephen and his wife Joanne. Cherished grandfather to Philip, Isabella and Antonio. 
A World War II veteran,  Purple Heart and bronze star recipient who  fought in the battle of the bulge. Dedicated Member of the St. James VFW. Long time postman for the town of Saint James  for 30 years. Greatly enjoyed his hobby of homing pigeon racing, and ring announcer for the Daily News golden gloves amateur boxing for nearly 30 years
