Patrick Joseph O'Leary Sr.

Our hearts are forever broken as we announce the passing of Patrick Joseph O’Leary aka “Paddy O” suddenly at the age of 79 on April 6, 2021. Loving husband to Sally Sue for 57 years, beloved father of Patrick (Danielle) O’Leary, Jr., Jacqueline (Steven) Valensisi, Jennifer (Daniel) Harris and William (Christine) O’Leary. Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Julia, Courtney, Kaela, Daniel, Timothy, Jillian, Logan and Dylan. Loving uncle and friend, Patrick had a smile, and a hand shake for everyone he met, and a handshake it was. A longtime resident of Smithtown, Pat enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a locksmith by trade and served in the Army out of high school. Patrick had a great sense of humor and a strong determination to survive. He will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be at the St. James Funeral Home on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 3pm-6pm. Funeral mass will be at Sts. Philip & James RC Church 454 N. Country Rd., St James, NY 11780 on Monday April 12, 2021 at 10:30am.
