Peter James Hofmann of Brooklyn, formerly of Kings Park passed away suddenly while on vacation July 20, 2018 at the age of 53. Beloved son of Albert and Kathryn (Kay) Hofmann. Devoted brother of Richard(Gail), Carolyn McMahon, Suzanne Torres (Camilo) and Barbara McLoughlin (John). Uncle of eight loving nieces and nephews. Former ESL teacher with the Mineola School District, proficient Ph,D in linguistics and world traveler. Recently taught in Saudi Arabia. Visiting at the St. James Funeral Home, 829 Middle Country Rd. St. James on Monday July 30, 3 - 7 PM. Funeral Mass Tuesday, July 31, 10 AM at Sts. Philip & James RC Church in St. James. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers donations in Peter's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital appreciated. www.stjude.org
