Philip George Frederick was born in Brooklyn NY 3/18/1942. He lived in Ridgewood Brooklyn with his parents Katherine Elizabeth Frederick and Henry Nicole Frederick. He was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn Prep High School in 1959. He summered in their home in Centerport, NY where he met his love of his life Geraldine Mulvey. He joined the United States Airforce and served from 1960-1964. During his service he was a fireman and was stationed in Africa, England just among the the few. He always spoke fondly about his days in the Airforce and was very proud to have served his country. He returned home and in 1966 he married Geraldine and 2 days later reported to the NYPD police academy. He served on the NYPD for 20 years. He was initially a highway patrol officer and finished out his career as an accident investigator in plain clothes. During his 20 year service to the NYPD he worked full time, had two children. Son, Michael John Frederick, and daughter Dorene Catherine Frederick. He went back to college while working full time and raising a family and graduated with honors from NYIT with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Upon his retirement he freelanced as a private investigator for numerous insurance companies and law firms routinely appearing in court as an expert witness for accident reconstruction. He also started his second career for Prudential Insurance company as a fraud investigator field officer and supervisor for their fraud division. He retired from his second career and enjoyed his favorite hobbies such as hunting, boating and fishing enjoying his favorite boat The “Lost Time”. He is survived by his loving wife Geraldine Frederick. His son Michael Frederick daughter in law Tracy Frederick and their two daughters Jenna and Nicole Frederick, along with his grandpupsMax, Lucky, Mocha and great grand pup Henry. He also is survived by his daughter Dorene Frederick-Ardito and her husband Carmelo Ardito and their daughter Elizabeth, and grand pup Nova He will be desperately missed by his dog Lilly. He was a beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Peapa and friend to many. Always willing to assist with anything. He had a degree in refrigerator repair and could build and fix anything he encountered. He was a rock to all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed..
