Ralph F. Marciante, of Saint James, died December 24, 2023, unexpectedly after spending Christmas Eve with those he loved most in this world. He was 71 years old.
Ralph was born April 21, 1952, and grew up in Miller Place, NY after moving from Queens with his Italian-American family. He graduated from Dowling College and began his legendary career with State Farm Insurance as an agent in Centereach, NY. Ralph mentored many new agents and found great joy in their success as they continued their own journeys. Many of his colleagues grew into friends and he took pride in being a good neighbor. He was more than an agent to his clients, he cared for them as if he was a part of their families.
Outside of work, he found the most comfort and joy in spending time with his family. His love for them was apparent to everyone in the way he dedicated his life to them. He loved to give to those in need without asking for any recognition and his generosity knew no bounds. Ralph lit up a room simply by walking into it. To know Ralph was to treasure him.
Ralph is survived by his cherished wife, the love of his life, Laura D’Agostino Marciante; his two beloved daughters: Nicole Marciante Petrocelli and Michele Marciante; his son-in-law who he considered a son, Jeff Petrocelli; and his two grand children: Mason and Piper.
Funeral services will be held at the Saint James Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 and Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm both days. He will be laid to rest after a morning mass at Saint Patrick’s RC Church in Smithtown, NY on January 4, 2024.
We ask that when you come to celebrate Ralph you come as you are. All are welcome. He will be in his Tommy Bahama shirt, he never really cared for suits anyway.
