In loving memory of Ralph Anthony Scannapieco
Ralph Anthony Scannapieco, 70, a beloved husband, father,
grandfather, cousin, and friend, went home to be with our Lord Jesus
on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Bethpage,
NY. Born on May 22, 1955, Ralph’s life was a testament to love,
laughter, and dedication.
Ralph was a man of many talents and passions including
photography, baseball, horse racing, music, dancing, nature,
gardening, and literature. Whether it was a perfectly-timed
punchline delivered during our family dinners or a fictional ending to
a newspaper article, Ralph had a knack for finding humor
everywhere. While Ralph didn’t love to fly, he did love to travel and
would drive just about anywhere for an adventure. He was a hard
working business owner for over 40 years, where he worked
tirelessly to provide for the family he loved more than words could
express.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Eileen, and their six
children: Lisa-Marie (Blair) Rafuse, Trina Scannapieco, Michael
(Lauren) Scannapieco, Jessica (Victor) Rivera, Stephanie
Scannapieco, and Shannon (Tariq Tyner) Scannapieco. He will be
deeply missed by his 13 grandchildren. Ralph’s memory will live on
through his family, whose lives have been enriched by his
unwavering love and support.
A memorial service to celebrate Ralph’s life will be held on Friday,
May 22, 2026 at 11 am at the Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
