Richard Klouda of Stony Brook, NY passed away peacefully in his home while napping before dinner at the wonderful age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Mildred Klouda. They recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Richard was born in Bronx, NY in 1933. He was drafted to the US Army and honorably served, mostly in Germany.
Richard instilled a lifelong passion of hard work and family. He wrote in his High School Year book, “Family and make a lot of money.” He enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening and spending time with his family and grandchildren at their home in Worthington, MA. Richard worked for 30+ years as an electrican with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW, where he held various Union board positions. He was a devoted husband and will be deeply missed by all.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Jeanne (George) Jameson, Robert Klouda, John (Darlene) Klouda and eight grandchildren, Jillian (Scott) Brown, Emily Klouda, Peter Klouda, Robert (Kelly) Klouda, Jessica Klouda, John Joseph Klouda, Scott Klouda and Eric Klouda and two great grandchildren, Adeline and Savannah Brown. He was preceded in death by many family members, friends and most notably his son Richard J. Klouda.
