Richard C. Kudlik

Richard C. Kudlik "Richie", age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 17, 2025.

Born and raised in Brooklyn to Helen and Francis where he grew up alongside his sister Dorothy. Richie spent his summers on his grandparent's farm in Blue Point, where he learned the value of hard work and came to love the quiet country life. Richie was brilliant and excelled in school as well as being an outstanding baseball player. Richie could fix or build anything and had a special talent for fixing cars. He enjoyed everything country... music, fishing and hunting.

Richie was the devoted husband of the late Dolores

"Joanie" Kudlik, the love of his life. Together they raised a loving family: Rick, Chris (Dietmar Sehlhoff), Colleen (Gerry) Varley, Lori (Curt) Sheldon, Debbie (Anthony) Rizzo. Richie is the cherished Grandpa/ Papa to Rick, Cassie, Daniel, Agnes, Madison and Bennett.

Richie was a very proud member of the brotherhood of

NYC Firefighters for 20 years, earning the respect of his peers and the gratitude of those he protected.

Richie will best be remembered for his quiet strength, intelligence and for the steadfast love for his family.
