1931-2025
Robert passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025 after a short illness.
Bob, or Bobby as he was widely known, was born in Carle Place, NY to John and Louise. He had one brother named Richard who predeceased him. Bob grew up in Floral Park, NY, attended Sewanhaka High School and entered the National Guard. His first full-time job was with Western Electric which took him for short stints to Rochester and Indianapolis. Bob subsequently joined the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 138 in the late 1950s and retired in 1995.
He met his wife Grace in Freeport, NY in the early 1950s, married in 1956, purchased a home in West Babylon where they lived for 56 years until, in late 2012 they moved to Fairfield at St. James, a condo complex in the Smithtown area. His many friends at Fairfield sustained him for the rest of his life after Grace's death.
Bob enjoyed the Fairfield pools in the summertime, golf, bowling and playing cards. Predeceased by his beloved wife Grace (2017), survived by his son Chris, daughter-in-law Liz and granddaughters Emily and Jane-e.
