Robert J. Larkin
Setauket, NY — Robert J. Larkin, the beloved rock of his family, a dedicated retired police sergeant, and a United States Navy veteran, passed away peacefully surrounded by those he loved. Above all else, Robert was a family man whose life was defined by the immense love, tenderness, and devotion he showered upon his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.
Robert was the deeply devoted husband and lifelong partner of Sabina Larkin, with whom he built a beautiful life filled with laughter, shared purpose, and deep roots in the community. He was the incredibly proud and loving father of his three daughters: Brittany, Bailey, and Devon. Robert raised his girls with a perfect balance of strength and gentle support, watching with immense pride as they grew to build beautiful families of their own.
As a grandfather, he was a constant source of wisdom, gentle humor, and unwavering love for his grandchildren, Hollyn, Maddox, and Rosalie Bunnie. His lessons on resilience, kindness, and family loyalty will live on through them, as they brought endless joy and light to his later years.
A man of immense integrity and a lifelong protector, Robert also dedicated a portion of his life to public service. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the Navy and later protected his community on the home front, embarking on a distinguished career in law enforcement. Rising to the rank of Police Sergeant, he was known by his colleagues as a steady, fair, and courageous leader.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Sabina; his daughters and sons-in-law, Brittany (Todd), Bailey (Sean), and Devon (Matthew); his cherished grandchildren, Hollyn, Maddox, and Rosalie Bunnie; and his extended family members.
