Robert “Bobby” Mannino, 87, died peacefully in his home in Saint James, NY on October 6, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Astoria, Queens, Bobby was a proud member of the Cement and Concrete Workers Local 6A Union, with whom he built the skyline of New York City, including spending 7 years building the World Trade Center. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Elysse, who lovingly cared for him to the end, his daughter Jo Ann, his son Robert and daughter-law Abby, and grandchildren Courtney (Nick) and Charlie.
Bobby was a kind man, and always willing to help friends and family. He knew how to build things, to fix things, and to grow things. When not watching his Yankees or Giants, you could find him in his garden or making sure his lawn was perfect.
He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
