Ronald S. DeSantis

Ronald S. DeSantis, affectionately known as Ronny, passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on August 25, 1939, Ronny filled his years with hard work, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family. His final days were not easy, and in the end, he was ready to rest. His family finds solace in knowing his struggles have ended and his spirit is at peace.

Ronny spent much of his life on Long Island, most recently in Hauppauge, after many good years in Massapequa and Farmingdale. He built a remarkable career with Electrolux, where his drive, determination, and strong will earned him success and the respect of many colleagues.

Ronny was the beloved husband of Marie DeSantis and is survived by Marie’s son, Anthony D’Orio. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Fran) DeSantis, and his nieces, Jackie and Stephanie.

Ronny was previously married to the late Joyce DeSantis. Together, he and Joyce raised four children — Tom (Loraine), Laura (Rick), Ken, and Keith — who were his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

He adored his grandchildren — Melinda, Kellen, Colton, Lucas, Kyle (Ashley), TJ, and Jackson — and nothing made him happier than seeing them thrive. His family will always remember his sharp wit, his relentless determination, and the way he approached every challenge with confidence and conviction.

An avid fisherman, Ronny found peace and happiness by the water, where he could cast a line, tell a story, and enjoy the calm of the day. He lived with passion, focus, and love — and those who knew him will forever cherish his loyalty, strength, and generous spirit.

Ronny’s life was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
