Salvatore Esposito, age 78, passed away on December 29, 2025.
Salvatore was the devoted husband of Bernadette Esposito and a proud United States Air Force Staff Sergeant, serving honorably from 1967–1971. A Vietnam Veteran, he carried his service with humility, strength, and an unwavering sense of duty. Those who were blessed to have known, worked, and served alongside him speak of his integrity, loyalty, and quiet courage.
He was a beloved father to Daria (Phil), Theresa (Tom), and Jeanine, and the most cherished grandfather to Ryan (Emily), Zachary, George, and Matthew, who brought him immense pride and joy. He was also a loving uncle, cousin, and dear friend to many. A dedicated advocate for fellow veterans, Salvatore was the former Commander of the Sgt. J. W. Cooke VFW Post in St. James and a current member of the Rocky Point VFW, roles he held with great pride and commitment.
Salvatore will be remembered for his dedication to family, his deep love of country, and the steady presence he offered to those around him. His legacy of service, kindness, and devotion will live on through generations.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Salvatore’s memory to Paws of War, honoring his service and compassion.
