Terry Lee Lent
May 15, 1947 – May 14, 2026
Terry Lent, a man whose warmth, humor, and love of life made every room brighter and every person around him feel seen, passed away on May 14, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose presence was a gift to all who knew him, and whose absence leaves a space that nothing else can fill.
Over a career spanning more than four decades in the retail industry, Terry built a reputation for operational excellence and principled leadership. Those who worked alongside Terry spoke not just of his expertise, but of his steadiness, his integrity, and the way he brought out the best in the people around him.
Outside of work, Terry was fully, joyfully alive. He was a vibrant presence who lit up every room he walked into. He loved the outdoors, and the fulfillment from his time on the water kayaking. He had a deep and lifelong love of music, both as a listener and as a drummer who played with genuine feeling. On any given day, there was an animal by his side. He was generous with his laughter, his jokes, his kindness, and his care. And above all else, he loved being with his family. As a grandfather, he was in his element, and those moments with his grandchildren were, by every account, among the greatest joys of his life.
Terry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn; his son, Eric; his daughters, Tracy Lent and Jocelyn Lent Zeller; and his grandchildren, A.J. Lent Adjami, Olivia Lent Adjami, Zoe Zeller, William, Drew and Chase Lent. He is also survived by his dear sister, Melanie Tebaldi.
Terry Lent did not merely pass through life. He lived it with full-throated enthusiasm and gave generously of himself at every turn. The laughter he brought, the kindness he showed, and the love he poured into his family will continue in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
