Theodora Ryan, always fondly called “Teddy”, was born on April 10, 1928 to her immigrant parents, Angelina and Paul Van Cina. (Italy and Holland). She was one of 4 daughters.
Teddy leaves behind 4 living children. Ann Allen (Doug), Helen Smales (Doug), Louis Guerra (Peggy), and James “Jimmy” Guerra (Kathy). Her youngest daughter, Linda Theresa, was a stillbirth.
Teddy was originally from Long Island, raising her family in Lake Ronkonkoma. She resided in Florida for years; after that she lived in Sienna Village, Smithtown, for many years.
Teddy was the proud and loving grandmother of 12, and great-grandmother of 15.
Teddy was a lovely, reserved lady. She loved the seaside always, as she grew up on the water, fishing and clamming with her father.
She appreciated beauty, and in later life she took up painting with watercolors, since being a natural artist was in her bloodline.
Her quiet and gentle demeanor will be missed by everyone that has the pleasure of knowing her.
