Thomas Focone

Thomas Focone, 89, of Stony Brook, NY, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024. He was born in the Bronx on August 9, 1935, to Gennaro Focone and Louisa Napoli. After graduating from Pace University, he married his sweetheart, Margaret Schroth, in October 1956, after meeting her in the mailroom at the American Book Company. They raised their family in Williston Park, Long Island, where Tom was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed history, cars, travel, cooking, and all things technology and had a successful career in advertising.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Margaret; his son, Gerard and his wife Tricia and their children Heather, Kimberly (Tyler) and Thomas; his daughter Louise and children Rose and Nicholas; and son Thomas and his wife Anne and their children Erin, Julia (Alex), Sarah (Cem) and Samuel; and great grandchild, Owen.

A wake will be held at St. James Funeral Home on August 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on August 30 at 10:15 a.m. at Saints Philip & James RC Church, followed by interment at Holy Rood Cemetery. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Tom and celebrating his life.
