Wess Neal Miles was born on July 26, 1985 to Willis and Suzanne Miles in Bay Shore, NY. He lived an adrenaline packed life of adventure and excitement from the beginning until the end.
Wess had a natural gift for athletics and gymnastics at an early age. He practiced olympic level flips and twists on the trampoline. Wess spent long summer days perfecting his tricks on the diving board. He flipped off of fences, decks, trees and anything else that seemed impossible for others. For Wess, there was no impossible.
As a teen, although quiet in his demeanor, Wess made an impact on every room he entered. He had an extremely close and loving relationship with his mother Suzanne which made him a bit of a “Momma’s boy,” a title he embraced proudly. Wess and his father, Willis Sr., had a great relationship filled with wonderful memories. Their shared interest in motorcycles, exotic animals and “larger than life stories” brought them closer as the years passed.
Wess’ siblings, OJ, Billy, Candice and Desire’ surrounded him with love and have been his best friends from day one! They always looked out for one another and had each other’s back. Wess shares a lifetime of stories and inside jokes that only they would understand.
Anyone close to him knew that under that tough exterior, Wess had the heart of a giant and would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it.
Wess had a lifelong obsession with motorcycles. At age three, he was already expressing the joy of trying to wheelie his first power wheels “quad” when his feet could barely reach the ground. He later graduated to “big boy toys” that could go from 0 to 60 in less than 3 seconds.
He was an amazing rider and earned the nickname “Blocks” for his ability to hold a wheelie from street to street. He embraced the motorcycle community wholeheartedly and was a proud brother of Kingsmen Motorcycle Club. His skills were unmatched on two wheels. Wess was a thrill seeker, a risk taker and everyone’s favorite stunt man.
Wess took his love of motorcycles a step further and became a master motorcycle mechanic. He furthered his education by attending Yamaha Marine University earning certifications as a boat and jet ski technician. On land or sea, if it had an engine, he could build it, fix it, or hot rod it. He was an exemplary talent and master of his craft.
When Wess met Janet, they fell in love and embarked on the greatest adventure yet. Together, they
formed a loving family with Ryan, Jaida, and later, their son Jace. Wess’ world was forever changed. He put all of his heart, time and passion into being an amazing dad. It was his chance to be a kid all over again. For Wess, there was no greater title than “Dad.” Wess included his children in all of his adventures, big or small. They spent summers on the water riding jet-skis and created many wonderful memories as a family.
Although Wess is preceded in death by his mother Suzanne Miles, he leaves to cherish his memory Janet Valle and their children Jace, Ryan, and Jaida, his father, Willis Miles Sr. (Debra), brothers Willis “OJ” Miles (Isa) and William “Billy” Miles (Erika), sisters Candice Miles ONeal (Drew), Desire Miles, and Hilary Miles, his nieces and nephews, Ashley, Aniah, Ariel, Demi, Omari, Jayde, Ellington, Alex, Jamerson, Orion, Ellery, Ricky, Rosalina, and Izzy, his grandmothers, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
