William C. Pirthauer

William Pirthauer of St. James NY, passed away peacefully on November 2nd surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind daughter Dawn Pirthauer and grandchildren Tyler Martin and Grace Martin.

William was a devoted husband, father, friend and an irreplaceable presence in the lives of many. Prior to his retirement, William worked as an engineer for Lockheed Martin.  While retired, he enjoyed gardening and spending free time with his family as well as his Golden retriever Lola.

William was preceded in death by his wife Ann Pirthauer daughter Denyse Martin, father William Pirthauer, and mother Katherine Pirthauer.

At the family’s request, a private ceremony will be held to honor William’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to remember him to consider a donation to The Animal Medical Center. The world's largest non-profit animal hospital, AMC is an academic veterinary hospital, promoting the health and well-being of companion animals through advanced treatment, research, and education.
